The challenge
Some cars are beyond what even a thorough interior detail can fully resolve, because the worst of the dirt is in places you can't reach with the seats in place. This Focus had years of accumulated grime, food debris, dust and general neglect — compacted into the seat runners, under the seats, deep in the carpet pile and into every gap and crevice. The owner had had it valeted before, but it never came up truly clean because the source of much of the dirt was inaccessible.
This is exactly when a disassembly deep clean is the right answer: rather than working around the obstacles, you remove them.
How we solved it
- Carefully removed the seats and trim to access the floor pan, runners and the areas normally sealed off
- Deep-vacuumed and cleared the compacted debris from the exposed floor and crevices
- Hot-water extracted the carpets and seats fully, now that they could be reached and worked from all sides
- Steam-cleaned and sanitised the trim, seat frames and hard-to-reach surfaces
- Cleaned and conditioned every surface before careful reassembly
When is a disassembly clean worth it?
This is the deepest level of interior cleaning we offer, and it's worth it when a car is heavily neglected, being restored, recovering from mould or damp, or when an owner simply wants the most thorough possible reset. It takes longer than a standard detail because of the disassembly and reassembly, but it reaches what nothing else can. For a moderately dirty car, a standard interior detail is the more proportionate choice — and we'll always advise which level your car actually needs.
