Rain repellent application is a three-stage process. Each stage is required for the coating to bond and last.
Windscreen polished with specialist glass compound and a DA polisher. Removes water spots, light haze, smear marks and surface contamination. The glass is optically clear after this stage.
Isopropyl alcohol wipe removes all residual polish oils and leaves the glass in a perfectly clean, oil-free state. This stage ensures the hydrophobic coating bonds to the glass rather than to residue.
Professional hydrophobic coating applied to the glass and worked in with a foam applicator. Product bonds to the glass surface and creates a water-repelling layer. Applied to all specified glass panels.
Coating buffed off and allowed to cure. Water applied to test bead formation — droplets should roll off the glass immediately. Instructions provided on first-drive behaviour (coating needs 1–2 hours to fully cure before rain).
