They came to our berth, did the hull, topsides, teak and interior over one long day. The boat looked better than it did when we bought her. Professional, knowledgeable about marine materials and great value for the result.

Our fibreglass cruiser had a lot of green algae and waterline staining after sitting over winter. The hull is back to white and the interior is spotless. Booked a pre-season package — will definitely be annual from now on.

Not many valeters are set up for narrowboats but these guys handled ours without any issues. Roof, sides, interior — all done. They worked along the towpath with their own water supply. Excellent result.

05 — FAQ Common questions

Marine valeting FAQs.

Common questions from boat owners. Call 0800 208 8885 for a marine quote.

Do you need to haul the boat out of the water?
No — for most exterior cleaning, gelcoat polishing, topsides work, teak treatment and interior cleaning, we work from the pontoon or a tender at your mooring. Antifouling application does require a haul-out, and we can coordinate with your boatyard for this if needed.
What vessel types do you work on?
We work on sailing yachts, motor cruisers, powerboats, RIBs, narrowboats, canal boats, fishing boats, day boats and small commercial craft. Superyacht and charter vessel maintenance is available — contact us for large vessel quotation.
Can you remove black marks and staining from the hull?
Yes — waterline staining, tide marks, algae and marine growth are all treated with specialist hull cleaning agents. Heavily stained GRP hulls may require a light gelcoat compound to fully restore them before polishing.
How do you clean teak decks without damaging them?
We use a two-part teak cleaner system — a specialist teak cleaner to remove grime and grease, followed by a brightener to restore the natural wood colour. Teak is then oiled with a UV-resistant marine teak oil. We always test a small area first and do not use acid-based cleaners on aged teak.
Can you treat mould inside the boat?
Yes — mould in boat cabins is common, particularly in berths, the heads area and behind cushions. We use professional-grade antimicrobial products that are safe for fibreglass, wood and soft furnishings. Persistent musty smells can be treated with ozone.
Do you offer seasonal maintenance packages?
Yes — pre-season (before launch), mid-season (maintenance clean) and end-of-season (lay-up prep) packages are available at a combined rate. We also offer standing contracts for cruising yachts and motor boats that require regular maintenance cleaning at a marina.
